Happy Holidays to you all

Hello everyone - I am sure that you all are as busy as I am with the Holiday Season upon us. Today I started the Christmas baking. I finished one batch of cookies and got the peanut butter cups mixed up so I can make them tomorrow along with Monster cookies. Now monster cookies is probably not a traditional Christmas cookie but I don't make them very often and Charlie loves them. So we added it to the list this year. If I stick to my schedule I should be good and not get stressed out. We will see how it goes. Hopefully I will be able to take some pictures of us doing our Christmas baking and such.

I hope that this Holiday season finds you all healthy and enjoying the season. God bless you all! Merry Christmas.

Charese 2 Year Album Vol. #1

This is Charese at 2 years old. This is Volume 1 of 3. I have all the pages done, however, I don't have the title and journaling done on all of the pages yet. Baby steps - I will get it done. But if you would like to see the pages in this book just click on the title and it will bring your there. This was one of my favorite two page spread - she is finding the jellybeans that the Easter Bunny left behind. So cute. Hope you enjoy.

Some Pages I recently finished

Here are some pages I worked on yesterday. It was so nice to sit down and scrapbook for a little while. I finished 15 pages. Almost done with Charese's first Volume of her at 2 years old. Two more volumes to go.

Better get to work. Here is a quick view of a couple of my favs - click on title to view the rest of the pages.

12X12 2 Page Layout Workshop

This is a workshop I am holding through community education in surrounding towns. It is being held in Howard Lake on Monday, December 7 from 6 to 8 pm. Also in Buffalo.

However, I have changed the class slightly and you will be making 2 two page layouts so a total of 4 pages. Some of the pictures of the layouts don't have embellishments on them - I haven't decided completely what I am doing as far as embellishments for them. So you can check back for updates. These will be your paper selections while supplies last for them.

Click on the title to see more pictures or slide show of the page samples. Email if you have any questions at all. I hope to see you at one of the classes.

Another Set of 50 Holiday Cards

Here is another set that I made up for the 50 Holiday Card Class. It is using the Jingle paper packet. Click on the title and that will bring you to photobucket to see all 25 cards. Enjoy. Here are just a quick few to see.

Where Did July Go!

WOW!! Where did the month of July go? I have been running running with Charese (my little girl) every where it seems. We started the month out by going to the Brainerd, MN 4th of July parade and then on to see the fire works. Brainerd puts on a wonderful fireworks display every year and this year was no different. One thing that was different this year was that I sat with my mom's digital camera (the battery was dead on mine) and took pictures of the fireworks over 100 pictures to be percise. My brother thought I was nuts. But out of 100 or so I did get some to turn out. It was really cool. Take a look at some.

Then we had Waverly Daze which was just great this year - a lot of fun. The Waverly Boosters (a committee I am on) sales ice cream cones every year and this year we sold out of Ice Cream. I think that might be a first.

Then it was off to Wisconsin, Iron River, with Charese's Girl Scout Troop for a camping trip. This was great. We had a blast. We got to ride horses and shoot archery and went canoeing. It was awesome.

Charese also had VBS and a 3 Day, Day Camp that she attended. Well all of this adds up to lots of pictures and lots of scrapbooking to do. So I need to organize my photos and start getting them done. I have decided that my goal starting August (never to let to start a goal) is to scrapbook current events and when have time work on the past photo albums. Also a goal is to finish a 2 page spread a day. We will see how it goes.

I am curious what did you all take pictures of this summer? Let me know.

Now it is time to start getting my classes ready, and get moving on things.

Scrapbook Weekend

I went scrapbooking for a weekend with my daughter, Charese, my mother, and my cousin. We had a great time. It was a lot of fun.

Sunday Feb. 1, 2009

Today my daughter and I took a day and made it a girl day. We sat in my office and scrapbooked all day (well a couple of breaks were taken). My daughter, Charese, is seven soon to be eight. She did pretty good. I just let her do her thing. She thought it was extremely funny that she finished 17 pages and mom only finished like 5 to 7 pages. She had to call Dad and brag to him that she finished more and also to my mom. I found it so sweet to spend a day with her just being creative in our own way and talking. Having this day at seven made me count my blessings and so look forward to many more with her as she gets older. I am almost positive that this is a bond we will have together forever and for that I thank God. I hope we will be able to share many moments and talks together over a day of scrapbooking and isn't that what scrapbooking is all about. Not just bring the memories to life in a book for all to see but the journey in which you bring those pages to life and who that journey is with. To all of you scrapbookers and stampers I hope that you have many wonderful times scrapbooking with your mother, daughter, friends whoever enjoy the journey and time spent together. I know I am.

Unavailable Item

Baby Card

Here is a baby card I made this weekend. This one is in blue and yellow. I made it for a gentlemen at my husbands work who just had a baby boy. I did another one in purple for a couple of our friends that had baby girls. This Bear stamp is an old CTMH stamp. I just love it. Hope you enjoy looking.

Baby Page Created

I am trying to finish pages of my daughter that were protraits. When completed it will be her protrait book. However I am just now starting this (she is seven), so I am a little behind. Here is the page I did of her first photo taken. It was taken in the hospital shortly after she was born.

Class on Thursday

I am teaching a Community Ed Class in Buffalo on Thursday this week. I am excited, it should be a fun class. It is a 20 Birthday Card Class so they will be making 4 each of 5 different designs. I have been busy all day cutting paper and preparing the kits. This picture only shows 4 of the cards there is one more as well. If you are interested in this class I am teaching at some other surrunding area Community Educations. You can also go to my web site and check under calendar of events to see where I am teaching.

Well on Thursday I finished a project I have been working on. It is an upcoming class (workshop) I am having. I wasn't really sure where the project would go but I am pretty happy with how it turned out. What was even more fun was looking for the love letters and cards my husband and I sent each other when we were dating. You know those letters and cards you send before you marry the person. It was a lot of fun. I didn't get to read all of them, I was on a time schedule. Maybe one day or evening I will seat down and read them. The ones I did read, wow, how mushy we were. Actually they were quite funny. Anyway here is a picture of the Memory Box that I made today. I am going to be designing a couple more too. Thanks for looking.
