Smore Kits

Here are two Smore Kits that I made for Christmas Gift - one for my daughters teacher and the other for a friend of ours.  They were a lot of fun.

WOW!! 2011 Here We Are

I was so excited over the Holidays - I created some new items that were gifs for people so I couldn't post them.  Now I am excited because I can post them out here for you all to see.  I created these white boards for my daughter, niece, and some good friends of mines daughters.  They are made from a picture frame.  I bought the size picture frame I wanted - then decorated the piece of paper that comes in the frame like a scrapbook and then put it back together and attached a expo white board marker.  It was fun because I got to personalize them for each person and they can add pictures to them as well - just like a scrapbook.
Here they are:

Also we made these really cute ornaments for the people in Charese's 4-H group.  They are so cute and were fun to make.

These were some glass items I made for my sister and brothers.

Here is a duck that I painted for some other brothers and friends:

Last but not least here are some gift bags I made up to put gifts in:

THINK PINK BLOG HOP

This the side front the flap is magnetic
Welcome to the Think Pink Blog Hop! I am so excited to have you join me here at my first ever blog hop. You should have arrived here from Peanutbutter and Jelly Design’s blog. We are doing this Blog Hop to promote Breast Cancer Awareness, and remind all of you to do your self-exams! Our Sponsor is Sarah, at http://pinkcricut.com and she has generously donated a $25 gift certificate for our Grand Blog Candy Prize. If you haven't seen her line of Pink by Design Stamps, you should check her out.

I decided to create something that has been on my to do list for awhile. I created a Memory Keeper box from Close To My Heart. I covered the box with a paper packet (also from CTMH) that was pink with some other colors in it as well. The paper packet is called Life Delights which is an inspiring name, I think. It had butterflies on it that I liked. I stamped additional butterflies using three different butterfly stamp sets; the first Celebrate Life, the second Embrace Life, and the third Spring Possibilities (all three by CTMH) I then cut them out added glitter to them, pink glitter to the two smaller ones and white glitter to the big one. Then I placed the two smaller ones over the butterflies that were on the paper using foam dots to add dimension to the project. I printed the sayings using my computer and glued them on. I also applied rhinestones all over the cover on the swirls. You can open the box and store your keepsakes in it. I plan on storing cards that I have received over the years from loved ones in it.

CENTER PIECES

These are the center pieces I made for my Husbands 40th Surprise Birthday Party.  I did a Duck Hunting there which was very hard to find decorations for so I had to use the creative force.  I think I did a good job.  Also I am posting the Invitations I made and sent out for his party.  Hope you enjoy.

This above picture is on the back wall of our garage - my niece drew it free hand and then she and my daughter helped me paint it and then I finished the painting by adding all the little details etc.  It was a lot of fun and we did it for my husband who really likes it.  Now we feel like we are driving into the hunting blind every day.

I don't have a picture of the invitation yet so I will get that and load it as soon as possible.
Thanks for taking a look.

Well on Thursday I finished a project I have been working on. It is an upcoming class (workshop) I am having. I wasn't really sure where the project would go but I am pretty happy with how it turned out. What was even more fun was looking for the love letters and cards my husband and I sent each other when we were dating. You know those letters and cards you send before you marry the person. It was a lot of fun. I didn't get to read all of them, I was on a time schedule. Maybe one day or evening I will seat down and read them. The ones I did read, wow, how mushy we were. Actually they were quite funny. Anyway here is a picture of the Memory Box that I made today. I am going to be designing a couple more too. Thanks for looking.
